Our Beliefs
"And we proclaim
Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may
present every man complete in Christ." Colossians 1:28
We believe in
One True Holy God revealed to men in the bible. We believe in the Holy Trinity,
that our God is one and yet exists as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God has created all things, including man, and that He is worthy
of all honor and praise and glory. Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Isaiah 43:10-11;
Revelation 5:13
We believe that the Bible is indeed the inspired ("God-breathed") Word of God
and, in reliance upon the Holy Spirit, the basis of our faith. II Timothy
3:16-17; Romans 15:4; II Peter 1:20-21
We believe that Jesus is Lord, the Messiah promised since the fall of man, the
Son of God, sent by the Father, born of a virgin, fully man yet without sin, who
offered Himself up as the perfect sacrifice to pay for the sins of man. John
3:16; 1st John 2:22-23; 3:5, 8; 4:2, 14, 15
We believe that Jesus Christ died in atonement for our sins of which all men are
guilty and deserving of eternal judgment. Three days later, He was raised bodily
from the dead and thereafter showed himself alive to over five hundred
disciples. After forty days, He ascended to the right hand of the Father where
He now dwells and makes intercession for us.
We believe that He will physically come again and receive us unto Himself.
Romans 3:23; Acts 2:22-40; 1:9-11; 1st John 2:1-2
We believe that salvation is only in Christ Jesus on the basis of God's grace to
all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ. John 14:6; Acts 4:11-12; Hebrews 5:9
We believe that true repentance and faith in Christ will be evidenced by the
fruit in and through a person's life. We believe that faith in Christ is more
than a mere mental agreement with Christian truths and doctrines. Faith consists
of an implicit trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Whereas salvation is a
free gift of God to all who confess the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, we
acknowledge that our redemption was purchased at a very costly price to God.
Matthew 7:20-27; Mark 8:34-38; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 1:15-16; Hebrews 2:3
We believe that salvation in Christ is more than the assurance of heaven, that
we are saved by grace to become like Christ, saved from the power of sin over
our lives, saved by His life. We believe that as Christians we are to live holy
lives in obedience to God. Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 5:10; 6:1-14; 8:29-30;
Jeremiah 31:31-34
John 8:31-36; Colossians 2:9-10
We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to the body of Christ
today to exhort, build up and strengthen each believer. I Corinthians 12:4-30;
Romans 12:6-8
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, empowers a believer and
guides us into all truth to the glory of Jesus Christ. John 7:37-39; 14:16-19,
26; 16:8-14; Acts 2:38; II Corinthians 5:5
We believe that God has ordained His church, the body of Christ over which He
Himself is the head, to proclaim the gospel throughout the earth. Ephesians
1:16, 23; 3:14-21; Matthew 16:17-19; 28:18-20
Our Message
"For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your
bond servants for Jesus' sake." II Corinthians 4:5
OUR Ambition
"Therefore also we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be
pleasing to Him." II Corinthians 5:9
Our Hope
"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and
soul and body be preserved completely, without blame at the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ." I Thessalonians 5:23
Our Burden
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon
you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples;
but the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you. And nations
will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising." Isaiah
60:1-3
